C. Raynor Jackson
Chris Raynor Jackson – Born May 29th 1980
5 String Bass
Joining the band in July 2013 was a step forward for both my own personal playing and my own song writing.
Currently working as a course leader and line manager at Confetti Institute of Creative Technology. Working here has given me the creative outlet to get in touch with fellow musicians and get key industry insight with leading professionals.
“After leaving the metal and rock scene I decided to move over to a more folk/rock crossover, the play style and people involved are a friendlier bunch and energy at gigs is through the roof! My own solo singer/songwriter project is also going strong and I have played at the same festivals as the band and loved every minute of it.”
Chris’s favourite bands include: Jack Johnson, Seeed, Sublime.
“My main influences are from ska and reggae music and I like to bring a groove to the mix. Simple catchy bass lines and flowing runs on bass are my main focus when adding my own creative input to the song writing process”
Chris’s favourite Brad Dear Band track is Island in the Sea
Some amusing facts about Chris – His beard makes all the major decisions in his life, also his dreadlocks have been known to assault other band members on stage.
In his spare time he enjoys Photography, song writing and performing as his solo act ‘Raynor Jackson’.
