Hello Everyone
Well the festivals are upon us and I have to say I will be playing some great festivals this year. Same for the gigs too, I have been supporting some great artists up to now. I can’t quite believe we are nearly to the middle of May and yes I can say I have definitely sang my way through up to now. I have been working with some amazing artists and so much more to come so keep watching the 'Live' gigs page. Pen to paper, vocals and guitar I have written some great new songs so for those of you that will be at the festivals and gigs I will be performing these new songs.
“Hope you like”

Live Review - Brad Dear - Rescue Rooms 16th March 2013
'Samer Bata heads to Rescue Rooms for a St Patricks Day party
Saturday 16th March, St. Patrick’s Day eve was a treat like no other. I was treated to many a new sensation and experienced music from some of the most talented people in the Folk/rock scene at present.
BRAD DEAR started his set with ‘Special Brew’, accompanied by a talented backing band, Brad’s music offers everything connoisseurs of folk would expect and brings forward everything younger generations would want to listen to. Drifting away from the metal scene, where he first started performing, Brad’s raspy voice is a reminder of how bands like the Pouges and Levellers have influenced dreamy eyed kids wanting rock stardom. His folk-with-a-hint-of-punk styling’s pleased the crowd, but it wasn’t until Dan Booth joined the foursome that the music came into true fruition. After Dan, left the stage, Brad played His single ‘Course of Life ‘ the proceeds from which he has donated to Help the Heroes, a showcase of songwriting ability this folkster has, there are elements of pop and radio friendly swagger coupled with meaty lyrics that reflect a wisdom far beyond his age. I couldn’t help but think Bruce Springsteen when he played ‘Across this land’.
Brad also played solo acoustic songs throughout the night, while the other bands were setting up. At first the distraction of people and band members setting up and taking down equipment was obvious and for some artists and musicians, this could be disastrous. However the people listened and he managed to keep the crowd wanting more.'

February 2013
Hello Everyone – Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas & New Year.
Sorry this has been late in coming but I have been a tad busy to say the least.
Great news though as I have been in the recording studios finalising the release of the EP “They Say” and then for the album to come out later in the year, not forgetting all the gigs and festivals I have already performed at and will be attending.
A huge thank to Jo, Elaine & Mike at Harefield Hall for inviting me to perform at Harefest. This is gonna be some weekend but don’t leave booking your tickets too long as this will sell out very quickly.
A huge thank to Cecilia for involving me with her charity event Critical Care Fundraiser at The Approach, Nottingham 26th February, I think anyone that knows me will know my passion for anything like this – Go girls hope you get to your target, you all do an incredible job.
And most importantly not forgetting all my fans new and old for supporting me along this magical journey coz without you guys it would not be possible.

"Well what can I say 2012 has been a very busy and exciting year, lots of fantastic gigs with wonderful friends old and new. Seems like only yesterday when I performed my first solo gig at 'The Black Market Warsop'
Thanks Dave - Love You Mate
A very special thank you to Dan Booth, Fiddle Player 'Ferocious Dog', remarkable man especially with the year you have had, thank you so much Dan - 'The Levellers' "Together All The Way" love you man
Meeting the one and only Rory James who has been a true inspiration designing my website and having the honour of him joining me to now officially become my pro photographer, cheers mate.
I didn't ever quite think I would for fill my lifetime dream of singing live on stage with 'The Levellers', but YES it happened on their recent tour at 'Rock City', 21st November 2012 what a night :))
